This Grade 5-8 Math: Student Self-Assessment Tool works with ANY math unit or chapter in the intermediate grades and can be used over and over again all year to help your students practice the vital art of self assessment. How to Use: 1. Start this routine at the beginning of the year, near the end of your first math unit! 2. Go through the sample template with your students so they understand each part of it. 3. Then have your students fill in the template for their own learning in the current math unit to prepare for the upcoming test. 4. They start by filling in the unit name & chapter number. 5.
