Sojourner Truth was legendary abolitionist and women's rights advocate whose famous "Ain't I a Women" became a rallying call for equality in post-Civil War America. This resource provides your students with the opportunity to independently learn about and summarize the life of this iconic figure for equal rights with this engaging research planner and essay assignment. This carefully scaffolded and easy-to-assign-AND-assess resource has been designed to guide student learning from Sojourner Truth fact-collection to the careful development of a five-paragraph research essay.
