This resource is a comprehensive lesson that uses 20 bathroom-related vocabulary words. First off, you can introduce these words by using the PDF -based presentation. With the arrow keys, you just move from one word to another to make your students familiar with them. Next, You can hand out the vocabulary lists. Beware that these are made with color, so in order to be eco-friendly you might want to use black and white ink. Once the students have taken these lists home, they can do the vocabulary test in their next class. They can practice with the words by utilizing the included flash cards. These just need to be printed, laminated, and cut. Beware of sharp edges though. You can use the curved edges version to avoid annoying pinches. Finally, use the Wacky Words activity to have a really good time in class. With this, all the letters are mixed up. Students love this.

These gumball themed alphabet cards are perfect for students who are learning in the about gumball. They make the perfect tool for students to learn the letters of the alphabet. What is Included: This set includes one capital letter card and one lowercase letter card for each letter. Ways to Use the Cards: Play a matching game by matching the capital letters to the lowercase letters. Attach a paper clip to a letter card and use a magnetic fishing pole to "catch" the letters for a fun fishing game. Use a sand or salt tray for students to practice writing the letters on each card. Have students find the letters that you have hidden around the room for a fun letter hunt. Place the letter cards in alphabetical order. Create a pocket char game where you place the cards on a pocket chart and hide a picture behind one of the letters. The students will guess which letter the hidden picture is behind. Add objects that begin with each letter for students to match to each letter card. When to Use: Literacy Center - Place the cards in a literacy center for students to match independently or with a partner. Morning Tubs or Baskets - Place the cards in a morning bin for students to work on while their classmates arrive to class. Small Group Activities - The teacher can pull aside a small group of students who need extra practice identifying letters to use these cards. Allow students to independently practice blending and reading words with these r-controlled vowel Word Read and Reveal Cards! Teachers will love the independent nature of these cards! The self-correcting feature on the cards allow students to check their reading. What is Included: There are 44 bossy R words included in this packet. Included in the packet are illustrated directions on how to put the cards together. The r-controlled vowels included in this set are: UR, OR, ER, IR, and AR. How to Use: Students will get a card for the pile. Students will practice reading the word on the card, using the dots and arrows as a finger guide to reading the word. Once they feel confident that they know the word they read, they will open the card to reveal a picture of the word they read. When to Use: Literacy Center - Students can work independently or with a partner to read these words Morning Tub or Basket - The cards can be placed in a morning bin for students to work on as students arrive to class. Small Group Activity - The teacher can choose a small group of students or a specific group of words for students to work on in a small group setting with the teacher. The fact that the teacher can easily choose which words to include inside a center or activity, allows the teacher to easily differentiate this activity for her students. The bold, colorful, easy to recognize pictures allow students to complete this center independently, by providing pictures they should already recognize that match the words they are practicing to read. The cards do require some prep work to put together, but once created, they will provide a long term center or activity for your classroom. They need to be printed, cut apart and folding into thirds to create the read and reveal nature of this activity.
