Math & problem solving
Doubles addition facts fill two fall pictures that children solve before they color: a spread of leaves keyed to 5+5 through 10+10, and a scarecrow keyed to 3+3 through 8+8. Sections of each picture carry either an equation or its answer, so a child who works out 8+8 colors the 8+8 sections and the 16 sections alike, in the color that page's key names. A six-entry coloring code sits under each picture beside the direction "Solve all of the equations on this page", a printed tip about repeating each fact and answer in your head while coloring, and a bonus challenge inviting children to write and solve more doubles equations on the back.
