Students will have stay engaged and fun matching numbers from 1 to 100 with these apple number mats. These apple mats make a great fall themed activity for students learning to recognize numbers up to 100. What kind of mats are included: There are ten mats that go in numerical order in sets of 10. There are three mats with numbers in random order between 1 and 100. How to Use: Students will take an apple card and match it to the correct basket. They will repeat this step until all the baskets have an apple! Ways to Implement in the Classroom Create a different file folder game with each mat. Place the mat on one side of the folder and the apple on the other. Use velcro to adhere the apples to each basket. Create a cookie tray game by placing a magnet on the back of each apple and placing the mat on a cookie tray for easy matching. Create a sensory bin by adding the apple cards into a sensory bin for students to find to place on the mats. Create a math center by simply placing the mats and apples into the math center for students to work independently or with a partner to complete. Small group activities can be done with students who need more practice recognizing numbers up to 100. A morning tub or basket can be created for students to work on these mats while their classmates are arriving to class. The apple basket mats are no prep. They just need to be printed out and placed in the desired location. The apples do need to be cut apart for students to sort onto the correct mat. The apples can be stored in a task box for easy set up, clean up and storage when not in use.
