Bring on the Thanksgiving Color by Number fun, where crayons meet comedy! These five pages are packed with festive designs like turkeys who forgot it’s November, pumpkins vying for pie stardom, and a cornucopia so full it’s practically saying, “Don’t judge me, it’s the holidays.” Each section is labeled with a number, and each number matches a color, simple, right? Unless you’re that one kid who insists on making the turkey purple because, and I quote, “It’s my artistic vision.” And honestly, who are we to argue? As your students work through these pages, they’ll unveil cheerful Thanksgiving scenes without even realizing they’re practicing focus and color-matching skills. It’s educational, but let’s keep that between us, no need to ruin the fun with big words. Whether it’s coloring a pumpkin the perfect shade of orange or accidentally turning a pie into an unintentional masterpiece, these pages are guaranteed to deliver laughs and creativity. No stress, no prep, and no arguments over who gets the last crayon. Just good old-fashioned fun—well, as old-fashioned as numbered coloring can get. So, grab your art supplies, and let’s make this Thanksgiving more colorful than Uncle Bob’s questionable holiday sweater. Enjoy!

Halloween Alphabet Matching Game – Spot It Style Cards Early Literacy

Halloween Alphabet Matching Game – Spot It Style Cards for Early Literacy This Halloween card set is based on the familiar “ Spot It” style game but adapted for alphabet and early literacy practice. I like to bring it out in late October when my class is full of energy but still needs structured learning. The mix of playful competition and letter recognition makes it a good fit for both Pre-K and early elementary groups. The set includes 93 cards in total, arranged as three complete decks with 31 cards each. Every card shows six different Halloween-themed pictures. The fun part is that any two cards always share exactly one picture in common. Students race to find the match between their card and the one in the center pile. Whoever names it first keeps the card. The round continues until the stack is finished, and the player with the most cards wins. There are three versions of the cards: round, square, and hexagonal. I usually print one full set, laminate it, and keep it in a small box for the season. The round cards feel most like the original game, while the square version is quicker to cut. The hexagons are eye-catching and add variety. In my kindergarten group, this game helped students practice quick recognition of letters and pictures. It also encouraged turn-taking and teamwork. For ESL learners, the visual clues and repeated naming of pictures gave extra support with vocabulary. Some of my students even started making up their own rules, such as timed rounds or team challenges, which kept the activity fresh. The game works well in literacy centers, as a short brain break, or as an activity for early finishers. It requires very little preparation beyond printing and cutting. Because it is flexible in design, you can use just part of the deck if you want a shorter game. This resource is best suited for preschool, kindergarten, and grade 1, but I have also seen older students enjoy it simply as a seasonal challenge. It is a playful way to bring some Halloween atmosphere into the classroom without losing the focus on learning. Warm regards, Lernfitness Did You Know? I teach with a certified therapy dog, and together we focus on creating a positive and inspiring learning environment.

Halloween Number Words Game – “Who Has It?” Numbers 0–30
Holiday & Seasonal, Language Development, ELA, Special Resources, Special Education Needs (SEN), Halloween, Holidays, Math, Early Math, Numbers, Preschool, Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, Activities, Games, Worksheets & Printables, Task Cards, Quizzes and Tests, Teacher Tools, Quizzes, Projects, Flashcards

Halloween Number Words Game – “Who Has It?” Numbers 0–30 This Halloween-themed version of the classic “Who Has It?” game gives students a playful way to practice numbers and number words from 0 to 30 . I first tried it with a small group during October, when energy levels were high and attention spans were short, and it turned out to be a great balance of movement, listening, and speaking. The set includes two full versions, with 72 cards in total. One version shows the number words in standard print, while the other version has the words split into syllables. I often use the syllable cards with younger learners or with students who are still gaining confidence in reading longer words like seventeen or twenty-one . For more advanced readers, the standard cards are enough. The game is flexible in terms of number range. You can play just with numbers 0–10 for beginners, extend to 0–20 for a bit more challenge, or use the full 0–30 set. This makes it possible to adapt the game across different groups or levels without needing to prepare new materials. Here’s how it works: each student gets one or more cards. The student with the “Start” card begins by saying, “I have zero. Who has one?” The student holding “one” continues, and the game moves on until the final “End” card is reached. I have found that students enjoy the rhythm of the activity, and because everyone has to listen carefully for their turn, it supports attention and listening comprehension too. The cards can be used in whole-class lessons, small groups, or as a math center activity. They also work well for early finishers, since the game doesn’t require a lot of explanation once the rules are understood. The blank cards included in the set allow you to adjust for different class sizes or add your own variations. Preparation is straightforward: print, cut, and, if you’d like, laminate for durability. Once the cards are ready, they can be reused year after year. This game supports number recognition, number word reading, listening, speaking in full sentences, and classroom collaboration—all within a light Halloween theme that adds just enough seasonal fun without distracting from the learning goal. Warm regards, Lernfitness Did You Know? I teach with a certified therapy dog, and together we focus on creating a positive and inspiring learning environment.
