Six cards, each headed "Nom" for a student's name, instruct students in French to write three facts about themselves — deux vérités et un mensonge (two truths and a lie) — in any order, with three numbered lines for their sentences. A third page gives two French-language facilitation methods: in the first, students sit in a community circle and take turns reading their three sentences aloud while the class votes on which one is the lie; in the second, students fold and toss their cards into the center of the circle, the teacher mixes them, and each student draws a random card and reads the writer’s name and statements aloud before the group guesses the lie. The second method is noted as building a more personal connection while keeping the reveal a surprise for the group. Everything in the file, from the cards to the instructions, is written entirely in French.
