Get ready to deck the halls… with crayons! Our Color By Number - Christmas Decoration Shape Coloring Activity is here to make your holiday season a bit more colorful (and way less stressful than untangling actual lights). Here’s the deal: each section of this decoration shape is numbered, guiding you to fill in the perfect holiday hues. Think of it as a “paint-by-numbers” experience, but without the paint spills or that one red splotch that never quite washes out. With every shade you add, your Christmas decoration will start to look like something Santa himself might hang on his tree! Perfect for all ages, this activity is ideal for getting everyone in the holiday spirit, from kids to those "big kids" (a.k.a. adults) who still love a good coloring session. When you’re done, you’ll have a vibrant, festive masterpiece worthy of a spot on the fridge, or right next to your actual decorations. Warning: side effects may include sudden humming of “Jingle Bells” and an uncontrollable urge to bake cookies. Enjoy!

Printable Chemistry Pennants – Christmas Classroom Decor
STEM, Science, Chemistry, Physics, Life Sciences, Earth and Environmental Sciences, Basic Science, Holiday & Seasonal, Holidays, Christmas, Homeschool Templates, Grade 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, Activities, Projects, Labs, Experiments, Classroom Decor, Door Decor, Bulletin Boards, Crafts, Centers, Banners
Printable Chemistry Pennants – Christmas Classroom Decor I made this banner because I wanted something simple to hang in my classroom during the weeks before the holidays — something that looked nice but still connected to chemistry. These are small triangle flags, each showing one element from the main group, with symbol, name, and atomic number. The design has a bit of a holiday touch but it’s not loud or silly, so it works even if you don’t go all-in on Christmas decorations. What I like about it is that I can just print it, cut it out, and hang it up, and it brings colour to the room without much effort. The students walk past it every day, and after a while they start to recognise elements just from seeing them over and over again. It’s not a big thing, but I’ve noticed that small exposures like that can really help, especially for the students who don’t memorize things easily. I printed mine on heavier paper and used some string and tape to hang it across the whiteboard. One year I laminated them so I could use them again the next time, and they held up really well. You can hang them in a line, in clusters, or just tape them to cabinets or doors — whatever fits your classroom. Sometimes I also use them as a starting point. I might ask a student to pick one element from the banner and tell me something about it, or we do a quick warm-up based on the symbols they see. But most of the time, it’s just there, and that’s enough. It makes the space feel less grey in December, and still keeps the focus on science. It’s nothing complicated — just a printable you can use when you want something useful and a little seasonal. 📍 Happy teaching, Heike from Lernfitness Did You Know? Winter Holidays Gingerbread Math: Fractions, Decimals, & Percent Using Tenths
Holiday & Seasonal, Seasons, Winter, Holidays, Christmas, Math, Percentages, Decimals, Fractions, Statistics, Grade 3, 4, 5, 6, Worksheets & Printables, Word Problems, Activities
• This is a fun winter math activity for your students to practice working with simple fraction/decimal/percent conversions. • They look at the 10 gingerbread people and determine what percent have different traits. For example if 4 of the 10 gingerbread people have scarves, they write the fraction (4/10), the decimal (0.4) and then turn it into a percent (40%). • You can project the picture of the 10 gingerbread people on an interactive whiteboard (or while screen-sharing for distance learning) or you can print one per student or group. • Students each have a table to fill in and questions to answer (These will get them thinking about simple probability as well. For example, if the cookies are all in a bag, am I more likely to pull out one with a scarf or bowie?). • If you want an extension, two blank pages are included so students can design their own gingerbread people, write questions, and trade with a partner. Answer Key Included Grades to Use With: This activity is designed for students in grades 3-6 who are learning about fractions, decimals, and percents using tenths. Standards: CCSS3.NF.A.3 Explain equivalence of fractions in special cases, and compare fractions by reasoning about their size. CCSS3.NF.A.3d Compare two fractions with the same numerator or the same denominator by reasoning about their size. Recognize that comparisons are valid only when the two fractions refer to the same whole. Record the results of comparisons with the symbols >, =, or <, and justify the conclusions, e.g., by using a visual fraction model. CCSS6.RP.A.3c Find a percent of a quantity as a rate per 100 (e.g., 30% of a quantity means 30/100 times the quantity); solve problems involving finding the whole, given a part and the percent. CCSS4.NF.C.6 Use decimal notation for fractions with denominators 10 or 100. For example, rewrite 0.62 as 62/100; describe a length as 0.62 meters; locate 0.62 on a number line d

Gingerbread Man Early Cirriculum Inspiration Guide
Holiday & Seasonal, Holidays, Christmas, Preschool, Kindergarten, Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, Activities
WHAT DOES THIS PACK COVER? This pack is themed around the traditional tale of ‘The Gingerbread Man’. It would be useful to have access to a copy (or several varying copies) of the story to read to your child, however if you do not have access to a version of the book you can use the flashcards in this pack to tell the story. This pack contains learning resources to develop young children’s skills in phonics, mathematics and motor skills. NOTE TO PARENTS / TEACHERS This pack contains a range of different resources designed to be used in multiple flexible ways. Our curriculum are rich in open ended resources as we believe in tailoring each activity / lesson to a child’s individual development. This guide contains some SUGGESTIONS on how you could use the resources included in this pack. This is by no means an exhaustive list and is designed to be a ‘starting point’ for you to develop your research and curriculum. EARLY YEARS & CHILD-LED The early years range is used to describe children below the age of 6 (in the UK), these packs are designed to assist children of this age to develop key skills needed for the future. Naturally, there is a huge difference between a child of 1 and a child of 5, therefore not all activities will be suitable for all ages. Most of the resources in this pack are designed to be used by children aged 2-5 however with adaptation older and younger children will enjoy joining in the activities. Most of these activities lend themselves to being set out in an ‘ activity ’ area or ‘play space’ to allow the child to choose what activities to complete and when. Child-led learning is a valuable part of the early years stage. Please Note: You can view all other items that would normally go with this guide as other products listed on my page including gingerbread man cut out, 5 currant buns poem and a gingerbread game.
