These Easter themed alphabet cards are perfect for students who are learning in the spring season. They make the perfect tool for students to learn the letters of the alphabet. What is Included: This set includes one capital letter card and one lowercase letter card for each letter. Ways to Use the Cards: Play a matching game by matching the capital letters to the lowercase letters. Attach a paper clip to a letter card and use a magnetic fishing pole to "catch" the letters for a fun fishing game. Use a sand or salt tray for students to practice writing the letters on each card. Have students find the letters that you have hidden around the room for a fun letter hunt. Place the letter cards in alphabetical order. Create a pocket char game where you place the cards on a pocket chart and hide a picture behind one of the letters. The students will guess which letter the hidden picture is behind. Add objects that begin with each letter for students to match to each letter card. When to Use: Literacy Center - Place the cards in a literacy center for students to match independently or with a partner. Morning Tubs or Baskets - Place the cards in a morning bin for students to work on while their classmates arrive to class. Small Group Activities - The teacher can pull aside a small group of students who need extra practice identifying letters to use these cards. These Easter alphabet cards are a great activity for students to practice letter recognition during the spring months. They are a low prep activity for teachers to prepare for students. Simply print, cut apart and laminate for durability. These cards can be stored in a task box for easy set up, clean up, and storage. Skills Assessed: These cards, depending on the materials added, can assess both letter recognition of capital and lowercase letters as well as identifying beginning sounds.

Let’s get thankful for more than just turkey with the What I’m Thankful for at School Writing Prompt! This Thanksgiving activity encourages kids to reflect on the things that make school a little less like a never-ending homework nightmare and a bit more like a fun-filled feast of learning. First, students will write about what they’re most thankful for at school, besides the obvious no homework wish. Maybe it's that one teacher who somehow makes math feel like a fun puzzle (even though it's not). Or perhaps it’s the class pet, whose only job is to look cute while everyone tries to figure out how not to kill the plant on the windowsill. Whether it's friends, favorite subjects, or that sweet, sweet recess time, kids will get to jot down their grateful thoughts. Then, the creative fun begins with a drawing! Students can illustrate their favorite school moments, perhaps an epic paper airplane contest or a perfectly executed lunch trade. This activity helps kids appreciate the little things in school, all while sneaking in some writing and drawing skills. Plus, it's a reminder that even when you're stuck with a 10-page essay, there's always something to be thankful for, like a snack break. Enjoy!

Chemistry Game: Who Has It? – A Simple and Engaging Chemistry Game for Learning the Chemical Elements If you teach chemistry, you know that learning the periodic table isn’t always easy for students. Memorizing element symbols and names can feel overwhelming, and worksheets don’t always help. This game is a simple, interactive way to make learning these concepts more natural. "Who Has It?" is an easy-to-use call-and-response game that gets the whole class involved. Instead of staring at a periodic table, students hear and say element names, making the learning process more active. How It Works Each student receives one or more cards. One student starts by saying, “I have sodium. Who has magnesium?” The student with magnesium continues, and the game moves forward until all elements have been matched. It’s simple, effective, and keeps everyone engaged. Why Teachers Like It It turns memorization into an active process. All students participate, listen, and respond. It’s flexible – you can play with just a few students or a whole class. No extra prep – just print the cards and start. Some teachers like to time the game to add a challenge, while others use it as a quick warm-up before introducing new elements. What’s Included? A full set of printable game cards featuring element symbols and names. Different levels of difficulty – use only names, only symbols, or a mix. An editable format so you can adjust it to your class needs. This is a great way to break up traditional lessons and get students learning chemistry in a more natural, low-stress way. If you're looking for an easy way to help students become more confident with the periodic table, this might be worth trying in your classroom. Best, Heike from Lernfitness Did You Know? Colour a Hen and Chicks
Holiday & Seasonal, Creative Arts, Art, Seasons, Spring, Holidays, Easter, Science, Basic Science, Life Sciences, Animals, Kindergarten, Preschool, Activities, Crafts, Worksheets & Printables, Worksheets

Here is an original, hand-drawn picture of a hen and chicks for children to colour, either as part of a project on the farm, or as an art activity, or to develop fine motor control. Who is this colouring picture of a Hen and Chicks for? Anybody. Older children will extend the activity further than younger ones, Uses for these colouring sheets Use to make spring cards Use as part of a spring project During work on farm animals Use for a basis for collage work Paint or colour. It is best if children colour the hen and chicks picture following close observation - maybe after a visit to a farm - or from reference books. The study of the natural world is the foundation for the later study of science. The colouring of pictures of natural things, be it plants or animals is more than a pastime activity. It is a means of familiarising young children with these everyday subjects. The colouring of this hen and chicks picture can of course be used as a pastime, or even as part of a creative lesson - the picture looks super made into spring greeting cards of many kinds. But it has the potential to teach much more. The UK National Curriculum for Science expects children to be taught to use the local environment to study plants and animals, throughout the year. What better than to use familiar farm subjects - such as a hen and chicks which is a common theme in springtime to teach much about the natural world?
