Students of all ages will enjoy this resource! There are 10 puzzles/activities with the theme of Christmas and winter. There is a Santa maze, a reindeer maze, a sled themed word search, two different black and white spot 10 differences, a colorful spot the difference page, a black and white find the hidden objects, and an elf themed page with 4 different Christmas themed mazes. There is also a color page with multiple activities on it such as a tree maze, color coded coloring picture, count the ornaments, match the shapes, find the differences in the reindeers, draw a snowman, an ice skating maze, a Christmas themed word search, match the mittens, and a sudoku like puzzle. The benefit of the black and white pages are students can then also color the objects themselves. These are wonderful for Christmas/Winter parties in the classroom, brain breaks, quiet time, early finishers, and just all around fun activities for kids. Liquid Units of Measurement and Conversion Worksheets and Activities

If you are teaching about liquid units of measurement and conversion, don’t pass up this opportunity. Your grade 4 learners will enjoy practicing and/or reviewing their skills with this concept because not only does it include visuals with the worksheets, but four delicious winter drink recipes are also provided. They are a great way to celebrate the successful completion of a math unit or build solid connections between learning and real-world applications. Within the pages of this product, you will find several types of learning activities including worksheets, task cards, and a tasty treat to top it all off. As they work their way through each page, learners will not only strengthen their skills in liquid volume and conversion, but they’ll do so with word problems, fill-in the blank, and greater than/less than comparison. Two visual aides are included. The first is a set of cards that can be cut out and used to show relationships such as the number of quarts in one gallon. The second in a chart your learners will color to give a visual representation of the size conversions starting with cups and ending with gallons. On the final worksheet, your learners will solve word problems that relate directly to the four Winter drink recipes. Not only does this activity help them learn about measurement conversions, but also gives them the added bonus of practice reading recipes. The four tasty treats great for a cold Winter’s Day are apple cider, smoothie, hot chocolate, and coquito (a kid-friendly version). Understanding the concept of conversion can be a daunting task for some learners. With this product your 4th graders will complete the unit with a stronger understanding of liquid volume measurement and conversion. The worksheets can be used as independent seat work, whole group or small group learning, or homework assignments. If your learners are in need of an activity that gets them up and moving, the task cards will do just that. Post them around any indoor or outdoor educational environment and let your learners loose to solve each of the 12 given tasks. These penguin themed alphabet cards are perfect for students who are learning in the winter season. They make the perfect tool for students to learn the letters of the alphabet. What is Included: This set includes one capital letter card and one lowercase letter card for each letter. Ways to Use the Cards: Play a matching game by matching the capital letters to the lowercase letters. Attach a paper clip to a letter card and use a magnetic fishing pole to "catch" the letters for a fun fishing game. Use a sand or salt tray for students to practice writing the letters on each card. Have students find the letters that you have hidden around the room for a fun letter hunt. Place the letter cards in alphabetical order. Create a pocket char game where you place the cards on a pocket chart and hide a picture behind one of the letters. The students will guess which letter the hidden picture is behind. Add objects that begin with each letter for students to match to each letter card. When to Use: Literacy Center - Place the cards in a literacy center for students to match independently or with a partner. Morning Tubs or Baskets - Place the cards in a morning bin for students to work on while their classmates arrive to class. Small Group Activities - The teacher can pull aside a small group of students who need extra practice identifying letters to use these cards. These penguin alphabet cards are a great activity for students to practice letter recognition during the winter months. They are a low prep activity for teachers to prepare for students. This beginning sound sort for the letter R is a great hands on activity for recognizing the most common sound of the letter R. This is an easy and fun activity to give students who need practice with recognizing the letter R sound from amongst other letter sounds or for those students who need extra practice distinguishing between the initial sounds in words. To complete this sorting activity , students will look at a picture on a snowflake to determine if the picture begins with the letter R or does not begin with the letter R, and then the students will place the snowflake on the correct reindeer mat. This sorting activity includes 3 pages that contains One reindeer mat for pictures that begin with the letter R One reindeer mat for pictures that do not begin with the letter R Snowflake pictures that begin with R Snowflake pictures that do not begin with R This beginning sound sort can be used in the following ways Literacy centers Fine motor centers File folder activity Add magnets to the picture cards for a baking tray activity Small group activities Morning work Emergency sub plans If making a file folder game, the teacher will place the mats on either side of the folder and use hook and loop fasteners to sort the snowflake pictures.
