Rooms in a House word search, scramble and crossword puzzle

Rooms in a House word search, scramble and crossword puzzle
Holiday & Seasonal, ELA, Reading, Language Development, Vocabulary, Kindergarten, Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, Word Searches, Worksheets, Worksheets & Printables, Crosswords Puzzles

Rooms in a House word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this rooms in a house puzzle set for my 1st and 2nd graders during our communities unit. The kids could name a few rooms but had no idea what words like kitchen, bathroom, or attic meant when we talked about the parts of a home. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, living room, dining room, hall, stairs, attic, basement, garage, pantry, and closet. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the room vocabulary finally stick. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess or indoor recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about whether a pantry is the same as a closet. The crossword I use for partners or as a review. I added a couple simple house, bed, and sofa drawings but nothing too busy. Works for K through 2nd grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers draw their favorite room in their house on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.

The American Revolution word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this American Revolution puzzle set for my 4th graders during our social studies unit. The kids knew the war happened but had no idea who fought who or what words like patriot, loyalist, or militia meant. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like patriot, loyalist, militia, Continental Army, British Army, George Washington, redcoat, minuteman, battle, independence, Declaration, victory, Yorktown, treaty, and freedom. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the key vocabulary finally click. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about whether George Washington was a general or a president first. The crossword I use for partners. I added a couple simple drum and hat drawings but nothing too busy. Works for 4th through 5th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers write one fact about a patriot on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.

Zoo Animals word search, scramble and crossword ⭐ I made this zoo animals puzzle set for my 2nd and 3rd graders during a field trip week. We were learning animal names and habitats but the kids were too excited to sit for regular worksheets. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like giraffe, penguin, elephant, zebra, monkey, lion, tiger, and kangaroo. Nothing crazy — just simple puzzles to keep them busy and learning at the same time. ⭐ The PDF is four pages total. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works great for quiet time after recess. The word scramble gets them talking because they argue about how to spell "penguin" every single time. The crossword I save for pairs or small groups. I added a couple tiny animal footprints on each page but kept it clean so it prints well in black and white. ⭐ Works for 1st through 4th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers pick their favorite zoo animal from any puzzle and write one fact about it on the back. Easy. The kids actually ask for these now.

Valentines Day Vocabulary word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this Valentine's Day vocabulary puzzle set for my 1st and 2nd graders during our February unit. The kids loved the holiday but had no idea what words like valentine, sweetheart, or friendship meant when we talked about showing kindness to others. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like Valentine, love, heart, candy, flower, rose, card, friendship, kind, sweet, hug, pink, red, February, fourteen, and celebrate. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the Valentine's vocabulary finally stick. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess or indoor recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about whether Valentine's Day is just about candy. The crossword I use for partners or as a review. I added a couple simple heart, rose, and candy drawings but nothing too busy. Works for K through 3rd grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers draw a valentine for a friend on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.
