Liquid Units of Measurement and Conversion Worksheets and Activities

Liquid Units of Measurement and Conversion Worksheets and Activities
Holiday & Seasonal, Winter, Seasons, Math, Measurements, Grade 4, 5, Worksheets & Printables, Activities, Task Cards, Word Problems, Worksheets

If you are teaching about liquid units of measurement and conversion, don’t pass up this opportunity. Your grade 4 learners will enjoy practicing and/or reviewing their skills with this concept because not only does it include visuals with the worksheets, but four delicious winter drink recipes are also provided. They are a great way to celebrate the successful completion of a math unit or build solid connections between learning and real-world applications. Within the pages of this product, you will find several types of learning activities including worksheets, task cards, and a tasty treat to top it all off. As they work their way through each page, learners will not only strengthen their skills in liquid volume and conversion, but they’ll do so with word problems, fill-in the blank, and greater than/less than comparison. Two visual aides are included. The first is a set of cards that can be cut out and used to show relationships such as the number of quarts in one gallon. The second in a chart your learners will color to give a visual representation of the size conversions starting with cups and ending with gallons. On the final worksheet, your learners will solve word problems that relate directly to the four Winter drink recipes. Not only does this activity help them learn about measurement conversions, but also gives them the added bonus of practice reading recipes. The four tasty treats great for a cold Winter’s Day are apple cider, smoothie, hot chocolate, and coquito (a kid-friendly version). Understanding the concept of conversion can be a daunting task for some learners. With this product your 4th graders will complete the unit with a stronger understanding of liquid volume measurement and conversion. The worksheets can be used as independent seat work, whole group or small group learning, or homework assignments. If your learners are in need of an activity that gets them up and moving, the task cards will do just that. Post them around any indoor or outdoor educational environment and let your learners loose to solve each of the 12 given tasks. Finally, choose one of the delicious recipes to make as a group and watch connections being made as your learners see first-hand how measurements and conversions are used in their own lives. Or send the recipes home and instruct learners to write a review of one after they’ve made it with an older sibling or adult. For more information on each activity in this product, check out the details below. PAGES 1-4: unit of measurement (liquid volume) cards for use as a visual aide PAGE 5: unit of measurement (liquid volume) chart for use as a visual aide PAGE 6: unit of measurement (liquid volume) chart that learners will color using the provided color key PAGE 7: fill-in the blank worksheet where learners will convert units of liquid volume measurement PAGE 8: worksheet where learners will use the greater than/less than symbols to complete the comparisons of units of liquid volume measurement PAGES 9-11: task cards (1-12) where learners will complete each task by solving various word problems PAGE 12: answer recording sheet for the task cards (2 sheets per page) PAGE 13: worksheet with six word problems that directly correspond with the 4 Winter drink recipes PAGES 14-15: 4 Winter drink recipes (Fizzy Apple Cider, Coquito (kid-friendly), Peppermint Hot Chocolate, Snowman Smoothies) ANSWER KEY

4-Week High School Acounting Data Modeling & Payroll Compliance Unit
Math, Addition and Subtraction, Decimals, Fractions, Graphing, Money, Multiplication and Division, Percentages, Research, Resources for Teachers, Homeschool Resources, High School, Teacher Tools, Activities, Worksheets & Printables, Writing Prompts, Word Problems

As a homeschool mom and curriculum creator, this 4-week unit actually began at my kitchen table. My teenage daughter wanted to understand how real businesses manage money behind the scenes, but every resource I found felt overly complicated or painfully dry. So instead of settling for another boring textbook, I created this hands-on business simulation myself. In this unit, your teen will step into the role of a corporate data auditor and learn how to build responsive spreadsheet systems completely from scratch. Along the way, they will connect real-world business skills with practical math and professional software applications in a way that finally makes sense. INCLUDED IN THIS RESOURCE: Step-by-step corporate accounting office scenarios PowerPoint presentations with notes Instructor teaching objectives Complete grading tools TOPICS COVERED: Break-even modeling Payroll regulations and corporate procedures Advanced compensation Internal auditing Rather than assigning repetitive worksheets and busywork, this unit encouraged my daughter to think like capable young professional and problem solve by solving real confidence using spreadsheets in authentic business scenarios. My own daughter learned these exact spreadsheet systems, and watching her develop practical, real-world skills was incredibly rewarding. She was able to articulate what adjustments needed to be made and why she made them. Because of that experience, I wanted to create something that would give other homeschool families the same sense of accomplishment and growth. If you and your homeschooler enjoy this resource, I would truly appreciate you leaving a review. Thank you so much for your support, and I hope this unit becomes a valuable part of your homeschool journey! Multiplication with Mixed Numbers
Common Core, Math, Fractions, Multiplication and Division, Grade 5, Worksheets & Printables, Worksheets, Word Problems

This set of worksheets provides a structured approach to become proficient with multiplying mixed numbers. The material is organized into eight sets of differentiated material: Set 1. Students practice the basic skill of converting between mixed numbers and improper fractions. Set 2. Match up mixed numbers and improper fractions, reinforcing the work of Set 1. These first two sets of worksheets are groundwork for the following sets. Set 3. Multiplying mixed numbers and integers: This is used as an introduction to multiplication of mixed numbers as there is only one number to convert to a fraction and some simple cancelling down and simplification . Set 4. Students now multiply mixed numbers with fractions. Set 5. This utilizes the Open Array Model, a visual representation, to support the multiplication of two mixed numbers. Set 6.Multiplication of two mixed numbers without the aid of visual support. Set 7. A mix of multiplication problems involving mixed numbers and integers, fractions, and mixed numbers. Set 8. Word Problems. Most sets offer two difficulty levels. The second level introduces larger denominators and integers, providing an extra challenge for advanced learners or those ready to push their skills further. Students get to practice cross-multiplication, finding common denominators, applying the distributive property, and reducing fractions to their simplest form. How Many worksheets exactly ? The worksheets are virtually limitless. With a click of a button, numbers are randomized, which means that each worksheet is different. These worksheets are ideal not just for class time practice but also for math centers, end-of-lesson activities, or as resources for substitute teachers, homework assignments, requiring minimal instructions ... and there is no preparation - CLICK PRINT and GO Answers are generated automatically with each new worksheet. Interactive Teaching Pages The Teaching Pages, designed for use with Interactive Whiteboards, help to introduce the content of the worksheets for the whole class.
