If you want to give students extra practice with place value, I have just the resource for you. What You Get: This is a Partitioning Place Value Worksheet that was designed for 2nd grade students who are working on or have mastered place value. It also works well as a review for students. It is a 2-page printable. The first page consists of 2-digit numbers. The second page consists of 3-digit numbers. This provides an increase in complexity and differentiation for students. How To Implement This Resource: You can print off enough copies of this worksheet for each student to have. You may also choose to print only a few copies and laminate those. If you choose to laminate them, students can use dry erase markers to write answers. This is a great way to turn this into a math center or small group activity. Students will partition each number using the table provided then complete the sum. The first one is done for them on each page. They will get to practice partitioning tens and units and then they will practice partitioning hundreds, tens, and units. This is great for an independent assignment or homework. It also works well as a math quiz or assessment that could be scored for a grade. If you choose to have students complete it independently, allowing them to work with a partner or in small groups is also a great idea. I hope you enjoy!
