Follow numbered step-by-step instructions to draw a pumpkin cat, color the drawing and add own details, draw an original scene, and write about their drawing.
Students study each fall-themed illustration, imagine what the pictured people/animals are saying, write dialogue into the blank speech bubble(s), and add supporting detail on writing lines below; an example is provided as a model, and blank sheets let students draw their own picture and dialogue.
