In this SEL game, students will learn and practice cooperation skills. They will be in groups of 3-4 and they will do a cooperation scavenger hunt together. There are 5 tasks for them to complete. They can complete these in any order they wish. There is a find the hidden objects tasks where students will work together to find the hidden objects in the picture. This resource contains 2 different hidden objects sheets to choose from or you could offer both types for the task. There is a task where the group will create a team name. Another task is about creating a special handshake made up of 6 moves. Another task of for the group to come up with 5 things they all have in common. Lastly, there is a task where they will do 10 jumping jacks or wall push-ups all together. This is a very fun, engaging SEL activity where there is a mix of physical movement, concentration, creativity and more. This activity is great for students in grades 2nd-5th. At the end of the activity, students can share their special handshakes, their team names, what 5 things they have in common with one another. In this SEL product, you will get SEL Flashcards for Social Emotional Learning. You will also get SEL coloring pages because there are two different pages of emotions/feelings. Both pages have a black and white version and a color version. The black and white version allows your students to color their own faces and images. The emotions listed are; happy, sad, silly, proud, shy confused, scared, excited, angry, tired, loving, sick, disgusted, cry, jealous, disappointed. These flashcards can be used for so many purposes. I have used these flashcards for Go Fish games where the students have to ask for a certain feeling. You will need to make two copies of the colored emotions poster to make this game work. If a student asks for "angry" and the student they asked has it, that student give the card to the one who asked and that student places the match down on the table and names a time they felt angry. I have also used this resource for memory games. You would, again, make two copies of each emotion. Then you would mix up the cards and place them face down (I would highly recommend cardstock) in a random order. Students then would choose two cards and reveal the emotion cards. If they are a match, then the student can share when they have felt that way. If it is not a match, they would place the cards face down again the the next student would take a turn. This is a fun and interactive game but also helps students discuss their feelings in a non-threatening way. This resource can be used as a whole class activity where students color their flashcards and then cut them out. They can randomly pick a card and name a time they felt that way. This can also be used as a center activity for Go Fish or Memory (as I described above). The ways to use these Emotion SEL Flashcards are endless!

Lego Themed SEL Emotional Regulation Boom Cards

In this Lego Themed Boom Cards resource, students will learn about emotional regulation. There are 24 task playing cards so it is perfect for a whole classroom lesson, group resource, or assigned individually. The informational cards discuss how managing one's self-regulation is about thinking about one's feelings and energy levels. In this Boom Cards deck, students will also discuss what the characters in the scenarios can do to calm their bodies if they are feeling out of control or need to wake up and learn. Some of the scenarios are; a person is very upset about their brother taking their Halloween candy, a person is excited about his birthday party, a girl feeling lonely, a person feeling bored when watching a movie, a person focusing on their lesson, etc. There are many relatable situations for kids to understand and learn about their own emotions. Have fun with play dough and teach feelings at the same time with these blank play dough feeling cards. There are 16 blank faces with hair, 6 without hair, and 2 different sizes for the ones without hair. Students can think of a feeling to create on their card or choose a feeling card-there are 8 different feeling cards. The feelings on the cards are excited, happy, proud, mad, scared, worried, disgusted, and sad. This resource can be used for individuals, small groups, centers in a classroom, or as a whole group. This resource is suitable for pre-k, kindergarten, first, and second grades. There is no reading required. This resource is fully editable after accessing a copy of this Google slideshow. You can resize pictures or add more feeling cards or different feeling cards. There are directions included. First, read a story about feelings to your class. Then, decide which type of cards you would like to use, whether they are with hair or without. Be sure to laminate for durability. Invite students to decide on a feeling and then create that feeling with play dough. As an optional activity, you can print out the feeling cards which have the name of a feeling and an emoji on it-and students can try and recreate that particular feeling. There are many different ways to use this resource. This could be one station in a center 's activity on feelings and emotions.
