Introduction As is known by educational agents, learning the alphabet is a fundamental activity for the early development of children and offers a variety of benefits that we will explain below. For this reason, on hpoy day I have prepared a fantastic worksheet that I am sure will be very useful to you with your children. 2.Objective The objective of this sheet consists of: - Achieve or motivate language development: Learning the alphabet is a fundamental step for children's language development. As is known, children who already know their letters are better equipped to understand and then use language much more effectively. This will lay the future foundation for good reading and writing. - Promote reading preparation: You should know that knowledge of the alphabet is a fundamental activity and/or step for literacy and reading. Students who already know letters will be able to begin to associate sounds with letters, which is crucial and fundamental to learning to read. Then, the act of becoming familiar with the alphabet will facilitate the process of being able to decipher words and understand the connection between sounds and letters. - Increase memory: When learning the alphabet you will remember the specific order of the letters. This process will help the development and strengthening of children's memory. In this way, visual memory and sequential memory benefit from remembering the sequence of the letters of the alphabet. - Promote cognitive skills: The alphabet learning process will also involve observation, association and visual discrimination. This set of skills will be essential for the overall development of the child's brain. Furthermore, as is known, pattern recognition and letter categorization are skills that will later be applied in various areas of learning. 3.Order, scheme and stages It is suggested to first introduce the class with a motivating dynamic, and then introduce the worksheet. B. SECONDARY INFORMATION ABOUT THIS PRODUCT: 4.Grades or ages This teaching resource is designed for children from 4 to 7 years of age. 5. Form of application You can work on these cards in groups of a maximum of 3 students. 6. These sight word cards make can help create a fun summer sun themed sight word literacy center or an engaging sight word game for students to enjoy while learning sight words from the primer or pre-k sight word list. Create classroom games, instructional tools, or center prompts out of these versatile cards! What is Included: This set includes one sun sight word card for each word on the primer sight word list. There are also blank sun cards for teachers to write in their own words if they need to include extra words. Ways to Use: Flash Cards - Students can work alone or with a partner to read the words on each card. Memory Game - With two copies of these cards, students can create a memory game by turning over two cards to see if they can make a match. Sand or Salt Tray Cards - Use the cards in conjunction with a sand or salt tray for students to copy the sight word in the sand or salt for a fun writing center activity.
