This is a Pixel Pics Spreadsheet Activity. It is the Halloween Edition #1. This activity would work for any age of students who have learned about different computer applications, including Microsoft Excel. Students will be given access to 1 spreadsheet. On this spreadsheet, there are 5 tabs. Students can complete all 5 tabs, you can assign which tabs you want them to complete, or you can let the students choose which ones to complete. This beginning sound sort for the letter M is a great hands on activity for recognizing the most common sound of the letter M. This is an easy and fun activity to give students who need practice with recognizing the letter M sound from amongst other letter sounds or for those students who need extra practice distinguishing between the initial sounds in words. To complete this sorting activity , students will look at a picture on a monster to determine if the picture begins with the letter M or does not begin with the letter M, and then the students will place the monster on the correct field mat. This sorting activity includes 3 pages that contains One haunted house mat for pictures that begin with the letter M One haunted house mat for pictures that do not begin with the letter M Monster pictures that begin with M Turkey pictures that do not begin with M This beginning sound sort can be used in the following ways Literacy centers Fine motor centers File folder activity Add magnets to the picture cards for a baking tray activity Small group activities Morning work Emergency sub plans If making a file folder game, the teacher will place the mats on either side of the folder and use hook and loop fasteners to sort the turkey pictures. These spider themed alphabet cards are perfect for students who are learning with a spider theme. They make the perfect tool for students to learn the letters of the alphabet. What is Included: This set includes one capital letter card and one lowercase letter card for each letter. Ways to Use the Cards: Play a matching game by matching the capital letters to the lowercase letters. Attach a paper clip to a letter card and use a magnetic fishing pole to "catch" the letters for a fun fishing game. Use a sand or salt tray for students to practice writing the letters on each card. Have students find the letters that you have hidden around the room for a fun letter hunt. Place the letter cards in alphabetical order. Create a pocket char game where you place the cards on a pocket chart and hide a picture behind one of the letters. The students will guess which letter the hidden picture is behind. Add objects that begin with each letter for students to match to each letter card. French Halloween Taboo Speaking Game Object of the game: One player tries to get his teammate to guess the word at the top of a card. The player must give clues, but he can't use any of the Taboo words in his description. The taboo words are written beneath the underlined word at the top of the card. Teams score points for each word successfully guessed. The team with the most points at the end of the game wins. Beginner students should be allowed to use the French TABOO words printed on the cards. This will encourage them to use new vocabulary and will help them in forming sentences to use as clues.

Need a fun, engaging Halloween activity for practicing number recognition for numbers 6-10 with your kiddos? This math bingo game is perfect for getting your students focused on number identification! Preparation: Print and laminate enough Bingo Boards for each student to have one Optional: print, cut and laminate the Playing Squares Print, cut and laminate the Calling Cards. Lamination is optional, but recommended, as it will ensure that the game remains in good condition and can be used for many years to come! To avoid excessive printing and laminating, the Playing Squares could be replaced with other manipulatives such as buttons or counters. Alternatively, students could mark squares off on their Bingo Boards with dry erase markers and then simply clean the boards again after playing (provided that you have laminated the boards) How to Play: Each student needs a Bingo Board and at least 7 Playing Squares (or other manipulatives or a dry erase marker) Shuffle the Calling Cards and place them in a pile. Draw a Calling Card and call out and/or display the contents of the card. Each student looks on their Bingo Board for a block that matches the Calling Card. If they find one, they cover that block with a Playing Square. Draw a new Calling Card and repeat the process. The game continues until somebody wins. To win, a student must shout out “BINGO!” when they have covered three blocks in a row (horizontally, vertically or diagonally). If the Calling Cards run out before anybody wins, simply shuffle them again and continue playing. Please note: Sometimes there may be more than one block on the Bingo Board that matches the Calling Card. The student may only cover one block on a turn. Once that turn is over, the Playing Square may not be moved to cover a different block. This resource includes 5 different bingo board, in colour as well as black and white. Letter P Beginning Sound Sort - Pumpkin Themed

This beginning sound sort for the letter P is a great hands on activity for recognizing the most common sound of the letter P. This is an easy and fun activity to give students who need practice with recognizing the letter P sound from amongst other letter sounds or for those students who need extra practice distinguishing between the initial sounds in words. To complete this sorting activity , students will look at a picture on a pumpkin to determine if the picture begins with the letter P or does not begin with the letter P, and then the students will place the pumpkin on the correct field mat. This sorting activity includes 3 pages that contains One field mat for pictures that begin with the letter P One field mat for pictures that do not begin with the letter P Pumpkin pictures that begin with P Pumpkin pictures that do not begin with P This beginning sound sort can be used in the following ways Literacy centers Fine motor centers File folder activity Add magnets to the picture cards for a baking tray activity Small group activities Morning work Emergency sub plans If making a file folder game, the teacher will place the mats on either side of the folder and use hook and loop fasteners to sort the basketball pictures. Have fun counting to ten with these Halloween Build It! Counting Mats. Each counting mat features a unique Halloween theme for students to build a tower to count up to 10. These mats also make a great fine motor activity for preschool and kindergarten students. What is Included: This resource includes a total of 6 build it counting mats with a variety of Halloween themes. The themes include a haunted house, cauldrons, Halloween candy, tombstones, monster numbers, and witch hats. The bold and colorful Halloween images will allow students to have fun with and stay engaged with practicing counting to 10. How to Use: Students will use one mat and one set of stackable counting cubes or building blocks. Students will look at a number on one of the Halloween objects and then stack the cubes or blocks up to that number. For example, if the number chosen is 5, then the student will stack 5 blocks on top of that number.
