They will learn about the importance of making and keeping goals and write three healthy goals and a way to accomplish these goals. Handwashing is another part of how to control disease. Students will review the importance of keeping their hands clean and how that will help them to stay healthy. For fun, there is a word search on dental hygiene included as they review these vocabulary words. Viruses can spread quickly in communities. In this unit, students will learn about the Coronavirus and measures on how to keep themselves and their family safe from spreadable diseases and viruses. Included is information on the Coronavirus for students to learn and then they will answer several questions as to its origin, how it started, how it spread, and what they can do to be safe for future viruses. Lastly, there is an assessment to check for understanding. This unit meets Common Core Standards. It is 30 pages of fun engaging activities! At the end of the unit, there is an assessment to check for understanding. There are seven units that cover all the health requirements for 3rd grade. In this product, you will get a Google Slides lesson with SEL coloring pages and Writing prompts discussing what causes drama among friends, what makes things worse (heats it & stirs it up) and what makes things better (what cools it down). There are 10 situations to discuss as a class. You can have students use fingers (1-5) or move to stations around the room to choose what they would do in different situations. Finally, there is a reflection and a coloring activity to reinforce the importance of being drama-free. This lesson will address friendship skills, relationship skills as well as social awareness. You can use this for whole-classroom guidance lessons, small groups, and even one on one counseling. There are descriptions of what heats up (fuels) drama among friends as well as what de-escalates friendship problems. There is a 19-slide presentation using Google Slides. In the PDF, you just need to click on the image of the main cover image. This is the image of a collection of the slide presentation, the reflection sheet, as well as the mindfulness coloring activity sheet. There are slide notes on every page. Prevention and Control of Disease Health: 4th and 5th Grade Unit 6 For 4th and 5th Grade Health, there are seven standards that students will practice and learn. Through using this Prevention and Control of Disease Health: 4th and 5th Grade Unit 6 students will explore and learn to identify daily healthy habits. In this unit, students will learn how to prevent illness and diseases. There is a sorting activity where students will learn basics of communicable and non-communicable diseases and decipher which category they fall under. Students will learn how to promote good health, and they will understand how to identify reliable health sources. Included in this unit, students will study the Coronavirus, its origin, how it spreads, and how to keep communities and people safe. This unit is a perfect way for students to learn about diseases and how students can be healthy and stay informed! There are 44 pages included. This unit meets Common Core Standards. Included in this Prevention and Control of Disease Health: 4th and 5th Grade Unit 6 Worksheet on what is communicable and non-communicable diseases and sorting these diseases. An understanding of pathogens and how they spread in communities. Worksheets on four ways to promote good health and prevent illnesses. Learn to write healthy goals and learn how to accomplish these goals. There are harmful choices that could affect kids' health. Learning how to get enough sleep is good for their health. Students will also learn where to get reliable health information when needed such as a school nurse or counselor. Information about the Coronavirus is also included. Cooperation Scavenger Hunt-An SEL Game

In this SEL game, students will learn and practice cooperation skills. They will be in groups of 3-4 and they will do a cooperation scavenger hunt together. There are 5 tasks for them to complete. They can complete these in any order they wish. There is a find the hidden objects tasks where students will work together to find the hidden objects in the picture. This resource contains 2 different hidden objects sheets to choose from or you could offer both types for the task. There is a task where the group will create a team name. Another task is about creating a special handshake made up of 6 moves. Another task of for the group to come up with 5 things they all have in common. Lastly, there is a task where they will do 10 jumping jacks or wall push-ups all together. This is a very fun, engaging SEL activity where there is a mix of physical movement, concentration, creativity and more. This activity is great for students in grades 2nd-5th. At the end of the activity, students can share their special handshakes, their team names, what 5 things they have in common with one another.
