Match words to pictures, draw pictures for words, fill in missing sounds, find and circle words, and play word-reading games (roll and read, 4 in a row, tic tac toe).
Students roll the dice and move along the board; landing on a white space requires correctly saying the sight word on that space to score a point (yellow = move up a ladder, purple = move down a snake); players track points on a tally chart, and the first to the finish line earns 10 bonus points.
Students read, match, or are called sight words printed on individual cards; directions describe printing, cutting, and laminating the cards, then using them for matching games, scavenger hunts, group/individual reading, or writing practice.
