What is Included: This set includes one number card and one number word card for all numbers up to 20. Ways to Use the Cards: Play a matching game by matching the numbers to their number words. Attach a paper clip to a number card and use a magnetic fishing pole to "catch" the numbers for a fun fishing game. Use a sand or salt tray for students to practice writing the numbers or number words on each card. Have students find the numbers that you have hidden around the room for a fun number hunt. Place the number cards in numerical order. Create a pocket char game where you place the cards on a pocket chart and hide a picture behind one of the numbers. With this Math Combining Like Terms Winter Pixel Art your students will surely engage and have fun at the same time! Let your students practice while having fun with this Christmas-themed engaging no-prep and self-checking combining like terms activity . Students will simplify 20 expressions using Google Sheets. As they correctly answer the questions a mystery picture will be revealed. The mystery picture shows up as pixel art, and in this case there a wintery scene that shows up with a house, trees, and snow falling. This makes this resource easier to use because students can self-check their answers as they move along through each problem. If there is no pixel showing, the student needs to go back and figure out the correct answer. This resource is fun, and easy to implement. I used it as a sub-plan in sixth grade and the kids loved it. Though it can be used with high schoolers as well.
