Health Coloring Pages: Strawberry Counting & Tracing (0–12)
Health, P.E. & Health, Early Math, Math, Counting, Numbers, Kindergarten, Preschool, Grade 1, Coloring Pages, Worksheets, Worksheets & Printables

Healthy Eating Fun: Strawberry Seed Counting & Writing (0–12) I made this strawberry-themed activity pack to combine early math practice with a simple healthy foods theme. Coloring is included because so many kids like to color! And it’s a fun way to sneak in number sense and fine-motor skills. This pack really requires no prep (just print and go), and it will work well for preschool, kindergarten, or early first grade learners who need repeated practice with counting, number recognition, and tracing. Students count the seeds, circle the correct number from the choices provided. Each page also includes tracing practice for the words “strawberry seeds,” plus a reminder to read the words out loud. I love these graphics! They're so bright and colorful! As a dietitian, I love making products that encourage healthy eating while being fun at the same time. There’s also a simple direction to color in the numbers, which makes this a great fit for teachers who are looking for health/food coloring pages that still have a real academic purpose. My activity pack includes counting pages that cover 0 through 12, so you can choose the number range that fits your students (0–5 for beginners, 0–10 for most learners or extend to 12 for a challenge). These activities can be used in a math center, for independent work, morning tubs, early finisher folders, small group practice, or send-home review. I've also included is a cut-and-order activity that teachers so that students get to practice their scissors skills as well. The activity is simple, students simply cut out the strawberries, color the numbers, if they like, and then arrange them in the correct order as well as match the number to the strawberry with the correct number of seeds. This adds sequencing and number sense practice and will your students a fine motor option. I added a bonus, “What Makes Strawberries So Healthy?” page with short statements and writing lines, which is perfect for teaching a little nutrition and encourage students to eat more fruit--especially strawberries! This product includes: • Strawberry seed counting + writing pages (0–12) • Tracing “strawberry seeds” and reading the words out loud • Cut-and-order number sequencing activity • Bonus healthy eating page about strawberries File Type: PDF (print-and-go)

Even and Odd Numbers: Investigate patterns with the 4 operations

Even and Odd Numbers: Investigate patterns with the 4 operations
Math, Patterns, Numbers, Grade 3, 4, Activities, Projects, Worksheets & Printables, Worksheets

The purpose of these resources is to explore patterns in our number system through one of the most fundamental classification of numbers - even and odd. Recognising even and odd numbers is first seen in Grade 2, and this builds on work covered here. See the resource Recognising even and odd numbers with and without objects. Having accomplished this, a natural extension is to investigate whether there are any patterns when even and odd numbers are added, subtracted, multiplied or divided. So, as well as looking for patterns pupils are practicing and applying the 4 basic number operations in a math investigation There are two fundamental approaches to this investigation: Using visual aids: Students can get visual clues when even and odd numbers of objects are displayed in an orderly fashion, which is always a good starting point. Addition and Subtraction are covered here with worksheets and digital teaching resources. Multiplication has a digital teaching resource. The range of numbers used are between 1 and 28 for addition, and 1 to 14 for division For the multiplication the examples go from 2 x 2 to 6 x 7 No visual aids: students apply the idea learnt in the Grade 2 resource that whatever the size of the number, in the end only the last (unit) digit matters when deciding if a number is even or odd. Addition, subtraction, multiplication and division are all covered here. The range of numbers used here are: - Addition: 2-digit plus a 2-digit number up a total of 30, 50 or 100 - Subtraction: Two 2-digit numbers with the first number a maximum of 30, 50 or 100 - Multiplication: From 2 x 2 to 12 x 12 - Division: Dividend a maximum of 100, Divisor up to 12. The work is broken down into modules so that a step by step approach can be taken. This prepares your students to: - Independently investigate and recognise any patterns or consistently repeated results when performing the 4 operations with even and odd numbers. - Make generalizations from the work carried out. - Make predictions and test them. How many worksheets are in each set ? Lots and lots and virtually unlimited on some of them. At the click of a button all numbers are randomised, so the questions change every time which allows you to create new worksheets for extra practice or revision throughout the year or even give groups of pupils in your class different sets of questions. Answers can be found on the second page of every worksheet, automatically generated when you create a new worksheet. Interactive Teaching Resources These are designed for whole class teaching with an Interactive Whiteboard or on a computer for one to one tuition with instant feedback to help introduce the content of the worksheets. As with the worksheets numbers can be randomized giving you almost unlimited examples to work with. Note These resources are PDF documents and work with the official Adobe Acrobat Reader on Windows or Mac computers with the randomising buttons also working via a touchscreen (PC or Mac)or on an Interactive Whiteboard. Common Core State Standards CCSS3.OA.D.9 Identify arithmetic patterns (including patterns in the addition table or multiplication table), and explain them using properties of operations. For example, observe that 4 times a number is always even, and explain why 4 times a number can be decomposed into two equal addends. Skip counting is a fundamental part of math curricula worldwide, usually introduced in kindergarten and extended through the equivalent of 2nd or 3rd grade in the Common Core standards. Skip counting serves multiple purposes: Pattern Recognition: With skip counting, students learn to identify patterns in numbers. Efficient Counting: Instead of counting objects one by one, students can group items together, which speeds up the counting process. Skip counting is widely recognized as an introduction to multiplication and division. It demonstrates the concept of repeated addition, which is the basis of multiplication. Understanding Division through Skip Counting. In addition to supporting multiplication, skip counting lays the groundwork for understanding division through repeated subtraction. Skip Counting Intervals : Options include counting by 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, or 10. Numerical ranges 1 to 100 (sometimes extending beyond) 1 to 500 1 to 1000 Starting Points of Sequences Students can begin their skip counting from different points, including: Zero (for the 1 to 100 range) A multiple of the skip counting number A random number For instance, if you're skip counting by 3, you have six options: - Range 1 to 100, beginning at zero - Range 1 to 100, beginning with a random number - Range to 500, beginning with a multiple of 3 - Range to 500, beginning with a random number - Range to 1000, beginning with a multiple of 3 - Range to 1000, beginning with a random number This pattern continues for all skip counting numbers from 2 up to 10. Order of Operations – 5 Real-Life BEDMAS Scenarios
Math, Order Of Operations, Grade 5, 6, 7, Worksheets & Printables, Word Problems, Worksheets

Order of Operations in Action: 5 Real-life Scenarios that use BEDMAS This teaching resource blends everyday real world situations with math knowledge, allowing students to solve word problems using simple mathematical equations and order of operations. It strives to show basic situations when we instinctively use order of operations to solve a multiple-step math problem: from making pancakes for a crowd to splitting the cost of pizzas with some friends. NOTE: Exponents are not used in this product. How to Use: Go through the sample problem with your class. Talk about how to turn the word problem into a simple equation. Then have your students solve the equation without order of operations and with order of operations. They should start to see why using order of operations helps get the correct answer. Then, allow students to work in pairs or small groups on the remaining four problems. For each one, students have to write their own equation and solve it with and without BEDMAS. Finally, early finishers can try to write their own sample problem to trade with a friend. What's included: A three-page PDF file containing two worksheets and an answer key: all visually-appealing and ready to print! Grades to Use With: This lesson is designed to be used in grades 5-7: when first introducing order of operations to your students, or as a real-world review of this important concept. Educational Goals: The primary objective is enriching students' comprehension and mastery surrounding the BEDMAS order of operations, minus exponents. The worksheets align well with key mathematical standards like CCSS5.OA.A.1 and CCSS5.OA.A.2. Numbers 1–5 Counting Worksheets for Pre-K and Kindergarten
Math, Numbers, Early Math, Preschool, Kindergarten, Worksheets & Printables, Worksheets

Five "How Many?" worksheets show five rows of pictures — zoo and farm animals such as zebras, dinosaurs, monkeys, giraffes, flamingos, squirrels, goats, and sheep — each row holding a different quantity from one to five, with a blank box beside each row for the student to write the number. The format also works well for kindergarten worksheet practice. Unlike a multiple-choice format, students must write the numeral themselves rather than select from pre-printed options. The five counts on a page are not always in ascending or descending order, so students can't just count down from five without checking each row. A title page and an author/social-media credit page bookend the five worksheets.
